In class, we had an exercise using the Venn diagram and we found that in Spanish we don't have 10 or 12 sounds between consonants and vowels (I'm not sure because it's so difficult for me). For example, one of the sound difficult is "Ay", I confused this sound with the "i". So with this exercise, I noted that I pronounce wrong "April" or "pink", before I pronounced these words same...
The good thing is that since now, I can be focus in this sounds for improve my pronunciation and my English.
Yes! Pronouncing the letter I in English is usually a short i sound, but in Spanish it is like the English vowel sound EE, as in Green. I hope this colour system with help you to pronounce difficult words! A good reflection Maria :)
